When working with equipment linked to the safety of people, client satisfaction is inversely proportional to the existence of failures. This is because, inevitably, when protecting lives, we cannot afford to make mistakes: highly reliable solutions must be offered. Railway testing and quality control.
That is why our high standards for the finished product do not only correspond to our philosophy of offering the highest quality and giving our clients the utmost confidence and peace of mind. In addition, we are contractually bound by commitments and responsibilities in accordance with the strict regulations that apply in all the countries in which our equipment is used.
Triple E – EEESA has best practices across the solution lifecycle. Our methods and procedures are subject to strict railway regulations. Thus, we hold international quality certifications. In addition, we are audited by our clients and certifying bodies.
To this end, all our areas are equipped with equipment that applies batteries of tests to ensure that people’s safety is guaranteed. Furthermore, both our clients and end users will comply with all specifications required in the terms and conditions and those imposed by international and country-specific regulations.
Testing of electronic equipment at Triple E
Independent laboratory testing to comply with railway standard EN50155:
We carry out the following performance tests:
• Cooling test
• Dry heat test
• Damp heat cycling test
• Supply surges
• Electrostatic discharge (ESD), surges and rapid transient sensitivity tests
• Radio interference test
• Insulation test
• Salt spray test
• Vibration and shock test
• Water test
• Equipment stress scan
• Low temperature storage test
Type tests at origin (EEE) to verify system software and hardware requirements.
Pruebas Bench communication tests at our client’s site to verify the architecture of the RS485/Can/Ethernet buses.
Serial tests at origin (EEE) to verify the correct hardware assembly of all the elements that make up the system, including burn-in fatigue tests and insulation and dielectric strength tests in the Control Panels.
Factory tests to verify the correct integration of the system on the train.
Serial tests to verify the correct integration of the system on the train.
In addition, as integrators, our tests extend to extinguishing equipment in accordance with ARGE criteria. This is aimed at the functional evaluation of fire detection systems related to the determination of their response time based on their positioning. The evaluation in this case focuses on the location of fire detectors in passenger areas as well as in the technical equipment on trains. For this purpose, we carry out:
- Assembly of full-scale models.
- Measurement of extinguishing times and live fire tests.
- Measurement of required flow rate.
Finally, to ensure that nothing goes wrong with the rolling stock, the material we manufacture and assemble in our facilities is also tested and monitored. For example:
- Pressure and leakage checks prior to shipment.
- 30-day cargo verification.
- Tightness and leakage test on pressure input.
- Unit verification of the diffuser elements.
Thanks to its railway testing and quality control, Triple E is a safe bet for reliability.
Permanecer tanto tiempo en un mercado tan exigente nos obliga a llegar al cliente final con la máxima seguridad de que nuestra solución iguala o excede sus expectativas. NBeing in such a demanding market for so long requires us to reach the end client with the utmost confidence that our solution matches or exceeds their expectations. It is important to remember that electronic solutions offer both passive and active safety. The level of information and its immediacy allow the activation of mitigating measures to minimise human failure.
PTherefore, Triple E – EEESA requires its suppliers, during the approval phase, to ensure that their products and services are compatible with our standards, so that they can help to pass the demanding battery of tests.
