It is vital that all the subsystems that make up the rolling stock guarantee adequate and well-proportioned levels of security against external cyber threats. This is why railway cybersecurity has become a priority in the sector.
It is undeniable that the term cybersecurity is already part of our daily lives. Not only cybersecurity, but also its derivatives: we are already familiar with terms such as phishing, spyware, cyber-kidnapping, cyber-attacks… The truth is that, to a greater or lesser extent, almost all of us have experienced some sort of attempted cyber-attack. For example, a few months ago, there was a lot of publicity about some cases of attacks on international railway transport. For example, the attack in Iran in July 2021, or some of the attacks on the Belarusian railway system, during the war in Ukraine).
